Getting a pharmacist’s license in California requires passing both the North American and state exams. Licenses from elsewhere cannot be transferred. The California Board of Pharmacy issues licenses, offering test dates nine time per year. A personal license is good for two years and, after the first cycle, requires 30 hours of continuing education to renew.
